Spread Love, Not STIs
This Valentine's Day (and always), make sure you're practicing safe sexual habits. Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) may not always have symptoms. However, they can cause mild to serious issues, like infertility, tubal pregnancy, cancer, and sterility.
Clay County Public Health Center offers confidential, low-cost testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, and syphilis. Treatment is also available for those who test positive. Free condoms are always available in the CCPHC lobby.
See how STI rates have been raising in the Northland.

Stay Enrolled in Medicaid
Since March 2020, states have not been allowed to remove people enrolled in Medicaid due to the three-year COVID-19 state of emergency. During this time, enrollments were renewed automatically, and eligibility was not reevaluated on the normal yearly basis.
Beginning April 1, 2023, individuals that are currently enrolled in MO HealthNet (Missouri’s Medicaid program) will begin to receive official letters from the Missouri Family Support Division containing a reenrollment form that must be filled out in order to remain enrolled in MO HealthNet. Most current recipients will not experience a change in care or eligibility.
Missourians are advised to update their address by April 1st to ensure they do not miss the deadline to reenroll in the MO HealthNet program.
