NEW RECREATION COURT NOW IN PLAY
On May 26th, Warm Hearth Village and the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce officially cut the ribbon on our new recreation court for residents.  A collaborative effort from residents, staff and the Warm Hearth Foundation, the court will offer extended outdoor opportunities for Pickleball, basketball and other outdoor sports.  Some local Pickleball pros christened the court following the dedication ceremonies and the village Mascot, Nutmeg even tried his paw at the sport.  Thank you to everyone who worked together to make this new opportunity available.

WHV RESIDENT CELEBRATES 70th ALUMNI ANNIVERSARY

Long-time Warm Hearth resident Evelyn Long, class of 1951, celebrated her 70th anniversary and attended virtual reunions, hosted by Warm Hearth Village. The first of her family to attend college, Long loved learning. At first, she majored in Biology at Madison University, now James Madison University, which was an all-girls school at the time. She didn’t think the program was strong enough, so she transferred to Virginia Tech. She was one of just 36 women out of 1,002 in her graduating class. Long said Virginia Tech was a wonderful experience for her. “Absolutely perfect. I always knew I would go to college. I loved being in school,” she said.
