Tufts Habitat for Humanity: Advocate and Educate Event |
To kick off the semester, we're hosting an organization-wide Education and Advocacy Meeting! We hope to continue to hold similar events throughout the semester, so everyone can have an opportunity to be involved in Tufts Habitat. This first meeting will focus on laying the groundwork for the semester. We'll learn about Habitat for Humanity, get to know one another, and enjoy some FREE FOOD (woooo). The meeting will take place in TTC (formerly SEC) Robinson Room 212 on Sunday, January 26, at 5 p.m.

New Student Organization Tabling Fair |
Twenty new student organizations have been recognized this year. Stop by the Mayer Campus Center Lobby during the day on Monday, January 27; Wednesday, January 29; and Friday, January 31, to meet representatives from the new student organizations.

Career Information Session on Internships and Fellowships with U.S. Department of State |
Join us on Wednesday, January 29, at 12 noon–1 p.m. in Dowling Hall Room 745B for an information session hosted by Diplomat in Residence for New England Michelle Kayser. Michelle will discuss opportunities for domestic and foreign internships with the State Department in summer 2026 and will highlight opportunities in the Consular Fellows program. She will also touch on civil service careers, the Pickering and Rangel Fellowship Programs, and the Foreign Service Officer selection process. All majors are welcome!

On Wednesday, January 29, Tufts Dining will be celebrating Lunar New Year with a special dinner at Dewick-MacPhie. Featured menu items include Chicken Yakitori, Potstickers, BBQ Pork Bao, Sesame Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Ribs, Tomato Egg Stir-fry, Spicy Street Noodles, Ginger Vegetable Stir-fry, and more! Be sure to come celebrate with us.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration |
On Thursday, January 30, at 5:30 p.m., join the Africana Center, the Office of the President, the Office of the Vice Provost for Institutional Inclusive Excellence, Tisch College of Civic Life, and the University Chaplaincy for the annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration. There will be dance performances, spoken word, and musical performances by S-Factor and Ladies of Essence!

African Influences in Latin America |
We are holding an event on "African Influences in Latin America" on Thursday, January 30, at 7 p.m. in the Latinx Center. This event is in collaboration with Tufts Latin American Committee (LAC). We will be discussing African influences in Latin America. Word on the street is that there will be food from Oasis! 🍽️😉

| Biotech, Health, and Life Sciences Virtual Career Fair |
The 2025 Biotech, Health, and Life Sciences Virtual Career Fair takes place on Friday, January 31, at 1–4 p.m. on Handshake. The fair is your gateway to connect, network, and gain valuable insight from representatives from the biotech, health, and science industries. This event, a collaboration among Brandeis, Tufts, and BU, is an opportunity to learn about current internships and full-time roles. There will be group and one-on-one sessions with more than 35 companies.

Finance Career Forum – Student/Alumni Networking Event |
The Finance Career Forum on Saturday, February 1, at 12 noon–2:15 p.m. in the Cummings Center is a one-day event for all Tufts students interested in careers in the financial services industry. Students will have an opportunity to network with Tufts alumni from a variety of companies. Those represented in past years include J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Jefferies Group, Macquarie Group, Barclays Capital, Oppenheimer & Co, Financo, Whitehaven Asset Management, and more. Lunch buffet will be provided.

Upcoming Deadlines
January 31 is the deadline to make up an incomplete from the fall 2024 semester.
February 15 is the Major Declaration deadline for first-year Engineering students.
March 1 is the Major Declaration deadline for sophomore A&S students.

- SOE students and A&S sophomores can stop by drop-in advising to discuss Major Declaration and the process.

Talk to Professors, your Pre-Major Advisor, fellow students, or reach out to a member of your advising team.

| Tufts in Pavia, Italy, Summer Program – Last Week to Apply |

Are you looking to meet new people? Join Project Connect. Project Connect is a six-week, peer-led program that aims to help students meet each other, create meaningful connections, and feel like part of a community. Space is limited. Groups will begin meeting the week of February 2.

Apply for Sustainability Project Funding |
The Tufts Green Fund Committee is pleased to invite the Tufts community to apply for project funding to support sustainability on our campus. This semester, they are soliciting applications for projects that either directly decrease campus greenhouse gas emissions (e.g., by reducing energy use) or support the use of the campus to promote deep learning by engaging students with on-campus sustainability-related projects. The fall application is due on Sunday, February 9, at 11:59 p.m.

The Center for Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice hosts its 8th Annual Black Maternal Health Conference on April 4–5. CMHS Therapy Groups and Workshops |
Sign up for FREE therapy groups or workshops with Counseling and Mental Health Service (CMHS)! All currently enrolled students on the Medford/Somerville and SMFA campuses are eligible to participate in CMHS counseling groups and workshops for free. All groups are confidential. You can participate in multiple groups each semester, and there is no limit on the number of groups you can attend while enrolled at Tufts.
