$9.2 Million in New Orders Awarded to dB Control |
Last month, dB Control secured contracts totaling $9.2 million to provide power-combined Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) and support programs for military radar, electronic warfare (EW), and electronic countermeasure (ECM) applications. The U.S. Navy awarded dB Control $6.6 million for radar system spares and repairs, as well as $1.1 million for power-combined TWTAs. Additionally, an Asian customer placed a $1.5 million order for a TWTA upgrade program. These contracts aim to enhance military capabilities in controlling the electromagnetic spectrum, improving jamming capabilities, and countering adversarial EW tactics.

Mike Lee, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at dB Control, stated that TWTAs remain the optimal solution for high-RF power applications due to their efficiency, wide bandwidth coverage, and reliable operation in extreme conditions, making them particularly suitable for defense applications. dB Control offers eight power-combined TWTAs in the 2 GHz to 18 GHz frequency range, providing output power from 3.4 kW to 15 kW. These amplifiers feature a single RF input and output, simplifying operation without the need for RF switches. Click to read the full news release.
