The Arc of Chester County is proud to announce the appointment of Amy Kelly, MBA, MNM as its new Chief Executive Officer effective September 28, 2026. Amy is an accomplished healthcare and human services executive with over 20 years of extensive experience in behavioral health, family engagement and special education programs supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental disabilities (IDD), and autism. 

Amy comes to The Arc most recently from Devereux, one of the nation's largest nonprofit organizations providing service, insight, and leadership in the evolving field of behavioral healthcare, as its National Director of Family Engagement. As a mother of three adult children including a daughter with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and verbal apraxia, Amy connects deeply with The Arc’s mission and will bring significant personal and professional knowledge and experience to The Arc of Chester County. 

“After an extensive search, the Board of Directors selected Amy to serve as The Arc of Chester County’s next CEO. I am beyond thrilled to know that The Arc of Chester County and those we love and support will be in her very dedicated and caring hands,” shared Jeanne Meikrantz, Arc of Chester County’s retiring CEO.

As a skilled leader with decades of experience in the disability services field, Amy has a deep passion for community inclusion, family engagement, and integrated healthcare which drives her commitment to creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities to live meaningful, self-directed lives within their communities. She brings to The Arc expertise in advocacy, early intervention, family and community engagement, strategic planning, business development, and healthcare integration just to name a few.

Throughout her career, Amy has collaborated with large multidisciplinary teams with a philosophy centered on innovation, collaboration, accountability, and person-centered care, ensuring that organizational growth remains aligned with the mission of improving the lives of those served.

I recognize that I have incredibly large shoes to fill from not only her but those that led before her. I look forward to getting to know our participants, board, staff, volunteers and community members and partners and further advancing the mission of this incredible organization. This position is extra special to me as a family member. It was the very first place I went to get help and learn how to advocate and navigate systems of care after Annie was diagnosed twenty-three years ago. This is truly a full circle moment,” shared Amy.

Amy resides in Chester Springs, PA and enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, playing with her dog Maggie and spending time with her husband Matt, and her three children Danny, Annie and Ryan. She also serves as a volunteer family partner and advisor on several boards and health systems in the local community and nationally, including: the American Board of Pediatrics Foundation, the American Academy of Pediatrics – Section on Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Executive Committee and the Autism Subcommittee of the Council on Children with Disabilities, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the Autism Care Network (ACNet) and SLS (Supporting Lifelong Success for Neurodiverse Adults). 

Additionally, Amy is a frequent presenter, podcast guest and author of several publications and articles and in 2013 was a LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) Fellow from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).  Amy earned her MBA from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Johns Hopkins University.
