The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber invites you to the January Membership luncheon on Tuesday, January 27th at the Benson Hotel in downtown Portland.
Newly appointed Chief of Portland Police, Larry O’Dea, will address Hispanic Chamber and community members at this event. Chief O’Dea served as a reserve officer in Fairfax County, Va., and a reserve deputy sheriff in Clackamas County before joining the Portland police in 1986 where he rose through the ranks and served as assistant chief. To read more about Chief O'Dea, please click here
At the luncheon, we will also introduce newly appointed Mexican Consul General Armando Ortiz-Rocha to our members and community partners.
As consul general, Ortiz-Rocha serves Mexican nationals living in Portland with administrative duties--providing passports, visas, consular representation--and also builds ties between Portland and Mexico. Prior to coming to Portland in September, Ortiz-Rocha was consul general in San Antonio, Texas for six years.
Thank you to our luncheon sponsor!

DONATE TO THE LATINO SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Each year, the Hispanic Chamber raises funds to support the economic advancement of Latino students through higher education scholarships. To date, the Hispanic Chamber has awarded over $1.7 million in scholarships to 673 students throughout Oregon and SW Washington. These scholarships are matched by many educational institutions including: Oregon State University, Portland State University, University of Oregon, Western Oregon University, George Fox University, Lewis & Clark College, Linfield College, University of Portland, Warner Pacific, Whitman College and Willamette University.

We invite all members and community partners to contribute to our Latino Scholarship Fund. The cost of higher education continues to rise which impacts the ability of our students to stay in school. This is an opportunity to "Pay it Forward."
