Liberal Education and the Global Miami Plan
Miami University was founded on the belief that a liberal education provides the best possible framework for life in a changing world. The Office of Liberal Education helps students and faculty to understand and creatively transform human culture and society by giving them the tools to ask questions, examine assumptions, exchange views with others, and become a better global citizen.

Miami Associated Student Government
Interested in Joining the Miami Associated Student Government?
Associated Student Government (ASG) is dedicated to serving the current and future students of Miami University. ASG has several opportunities to get involved. Our Legislative Branch has 50 seats to be filled by On-Campus, Off-Campus, and Academic Senators to offer a holistic representation of our students.
Representing your residence hall district as an On-Campus Senator is the most common position for first-year students. On-Campus Senators are elected by students in their district to represent that specific of residence halls and report student concerns. You do not need to be an expert in government or be a political science major to be part of ASG; you need to have a passion for bringing positive change to Miami.
