Dear Licensed Minister,

The time has come to renew your License for Ministry. As you know, once a year the Nurturing and Credentialing Committee (NACC) and the Ministry Commission has each licensed minister and Calling Cohort (your mentor will be responsible for seeing this through) to fill out separate progress reports as part of the license renewal process. Please fill out this form thoughtfully, completely, and prayerfully.
Remember, you are responsible for initiating meetings with your Calling Cohort (at least four times a year). The Calling Cohort Report is a key element in the decision that the NACC and the Ministry Commission will use in your being re-licensed for the next year, 2019.
You may want to take time as well to review (the copy you saved at home) of your current Covenant of Accountability. If there are changes, send them to the district office.

This year we are going to renew all the licensees at the same time, in a wonderful celebration at District Conference. This will be a time when your ministry can be affirmed by the whole district and you can receive the blessings of the entire PSWD.
Your licensing renewal service will take place at District Conference, during
Saturday Evening Worship, November 10, 2018 at Hillcrest in La Verne, California. Our District Executive Minister, Russ Matteson, will lead the relicensing portion of the service. Your congregation is receiving a letter asking them to encourage you to attend. If you have questions about your required attendance please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to this being a wonderful spiritual event that helps bind us together as the Body of Christ.
Also, please note that your church board, or church council needs to vote to reaffirm your licensing by October 1, 2018. The letter to your congregation will remind them of this requirement. If you hold a (paid / unpaid) position in your church (such as pastor, associate pastor, chaplain, youth leader . . .), the following forms must also be returned by your church:
