In honor of National Kinship Care Month we recognize the unconditional love, support, and sacrifices of those caring for a loved one’s child(ren).
These caregivers, ranging from young adults to retired grandparents, go above and beyond to provide love and support to their loved ones' child(ren).
Their actions help preserve family bonds, community ties, and cultural connections for the children in their care.
When parents face challenges in caring for their children, be it temporarily or over an extended period, placing the children within their extended family is the optimal solution.
Both our CASA and Parent to Child (P2C) programs serve families who's child(ren) are in the care of an extended family member.
