40th ANNIVERSARY MURAL IS UP!
Have you driven past the Hopple Street Viaduct recently? Our new 40th Anniversary Mural is in the works! We are so grateful for Sherwin Williams, Ohio Arts Council, Greater Cincinnati Foundation, and Keep Ohio Beautiful for funding this project and helping us celebrate this beautiful city.
In collaboration with this mural, our Arts team is creating and installing interactive mini-murals to celebrate how beautiful our city is. The Mini murals will be unique to your neighborhood. For example: "Avondale is beautiful because..." By celebrating our communities and why Cincinnati is beautiful, we hope to foster pride in the places we each call home.

If you are interested in a mural for your community, please let us know by COMPLETING THIS FORM.

SAFE & CLEAN NEIGHBORHOOD FUND
Have you heard of Green Man Park in Walnut Hills?
The idea of the Green Man dates back as far as four thousand years. It appears in many cultures worldwide as a symbol of rebirth, representing the new cycle of growth each spring. Green Man Park represents the revitalization of Walnut Hills. The project was made possible in part through the Safe and Clean Neighborhood Fund.

The Safe and Clean Neighborhood fund provides up to $10,000 for community-based efforts to improve safety, eliminate blight, and increase livability through neighborhood-level problem-solving approaches and projects. The next deadline to apply is August 2nd.

If you have an idea to improve your neighborhood learn more online.

20,000 FLOWERS PLANTED!
In celebration of establishing 20,000 season ticket holders, FC Cincinnati partnered with KCB to give away 20,000 flowers to be planted throughout the city. Our community GAC partners heard the call, and now their neighborhood gateways and public areas are a little more orange, blue, and beautiful! Shout out to Benken Florist and Greenhouse for filling a lofty order and providing gorgeous blooms, as usual! Teamwork!

Pam's Garden, a beautiful space which borders Findlay Market was given some extra TLC by a hardworking group of volunteers from Fidelity for World Environment Day. They provided new flowering pollinators, over 130 plants were installed. Wesleyan Cemetery in Northside also got a refresh from Deloitte Impact volunteers. They improved the space with new flower plantings, weeding, and grass trimming. Now, Wesleyan Cemetery is looking fresh for summer. Thank you, Deloitte!

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
This year our education team saw the most kids (28,000) we've seen in our 18-year history- What a feat! Students grew green habits through learning about litter prevention, waste reduction, and natural resource conservation. Research shows that positive experiences in nature are a powerful way of developing a connection with, or love of, the environment that guide people to care for the Earth. This year we were able to give 500 students that opportunity with the goal of fostering future green stewards of Cincinnati.

Big thank you to Keep Ohio Beautiful and Sherwin-Williams for our 2019 National Painting Week Grant. With their support, we were able4 to get the necessary supplies to paint 2001 Vine Street in Mount Auburn.
