For the second time in program history, the GVSU women's basketball team won the National Championship! The Lakers took down California State-Dominguez Hills 70-58 in the Division II Tournament Championship to win the title for the first time since 2006.

Big newsāGVSU is adding a Laker Spa to the Alumni House! Starting in June, construction crews will create the ultimate relaxation retreat, complete with Louie-approved massages, tranquil vibes overlooking Grand Valley, and Laker-blue robes. Construction is expected to be finished in time for Homecoming 2025.

The campus community celebrates the life of Curtis Jones, who established strong Laker ties within his family as the first Black faculty member hired at Grand Valley. Jones died March 7 in Grand Rapids. He was 86.
