JOURNEY WITH US THROUGH PERU
Join fun-loving yoga teacher Elaine Clark in partnership with Rainforest Reef Escape on this exciting and invigorating journey through Peru. We have put together an invigorating journey that will take you from the endless sand dunes of the Ica Desert all the way to the lush Sacred Valley of the Incas. Together we will explore the immense beauty of the Peruvian culture, push our limits on fun and exciting excursions through unique landscapes, eat incredibly delicious food that will dazzle our palates (yep I did say dazzle) and undoubtedly have many fun and unexpected adventures along the way as we fully immerse ourselves in this sacred landscape.

| YOUR STAY & FOOD
Enjoy the pleasure of discovering a few key spots in Peru that you will absolutely LOVE. The first will be Lima, specifically the Miraflores district, where you will experience the beauty of this desert capital by the sea. You will then travel to the Ica Desert, where you will experience both the vastness of the endless sand dunes and the Paracas National Reserve famous for its pink flamingos. We then head to the Ballestas Islands to see an abundance of marine wildlife including dolphins and penguins! Next stop, the Sacred Valley where you will spend 3 glorious nights in a beautiful lodge overlooking magnificent peaks. It is here in this lush landscape that you will experience much of the Inca culture and beauty of the country. From the valley we will venture by train to Aguas Calientes, a small and colourful town that lies at the foot of the famous citadel of Machu Picchu. Your last two nights will be spent in Cusco, known as one of the most beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Cities in the world!

As for your meals, Peruvian cuisine is recognized around the world as one of the best in South America. Peru’s amazing cuisine has evolved from both local and immigrant traditions. Foods that were prepared by ancient civilizations are still enjoyed today, while typical Peruvian dishes also benefit from European, African and Asian influences. Peru's geography yields diverse ingredients: abundant seafood from the coast, tropical fruits from the jungle, and unusual varieties of grains and potatoes from the Andes. Needless to say, food will definitely be a BIG part of this journey!

ELAINE CLARKElaine has over 10,000 hours of experience in directing teacher trainings, trauma-informed yoga classes, workshops, retreats, and private/public yoga classes. She holds an honours degree in Health Sciences, is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT-500 advanced yoga educator, and is a certified Trauma Sensitive Yoga provider.
