Peter Case

A real treat for music lovers: Grammy®-nominated singer/songwriter Peter Case will perform with Ben de la Cour & 5 Pound Horse at The Elks Lodge in North Adams. Case was a founding member of The Nerves, a San Francisco band that was at the beginning of the early punk era. When the band broke up in 1979, he formed The Plimsouls and then struck out on his own in 1986. More info

The Clark Art Institute’s Research and Academic Program hosts a talk by Research and Academic Program Fellow Shundana Yusaf, who explores the dynamic exchange between listeners, sound, and space in the tomb of Lal Shabaz Marwandi. Joan Osborne will take the stage at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, joined by Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams. Osborne broke through 25 years ago with the multi-platinum Relish and its mega-smash “One of Us." Osborne has explored a diverse range of genres: pop rock, soul, R&B, blues, roots rock, gospel, funk, and country. More info
