Student Life works hard to keep your student engaged
Each year, Indiana Tech's Student Life department hosts more than 150 events, organized to help our students stay connected, make friends, learn, laugh and relax away from the classroom. Here are just a few upcoming events we have planned.
Fridays in the Fort: This new series of events will take students off campus and into Fort Wayne to connect them with Tech's home city since 1930 and introduce them to new experiences.
On Friday, Sept. 14, we will take a group of students to the third annual Middle Waves Music Festival–a two-day event held in downtown Fort Wayne at Headwaters Park. Middle Waves will feature 30 musical performances by national and local artists on three stages. It is a festival for music lovers of all ages, from all backgrounds and all musical preferences.
Family and Friends Day: On Saturday, Sept. 29, Indiana Tech will hold its sixth annual Family and Friends Day. This is a day our students are able to show their family members and friends the place they call home and invest much time and energy to pursue their education. It is a fun, activity-filled day during Indiana Tech's homecoming weekend that gives family and friends a peak into what it means to be a part of the Warrior family. Everyone is welcome, but we will ask that you preregister for the day by Sept. 19. Some events require pre-registration.
Cheer on your Orange and Black

Dining services wants your student to feel at homeIf your family is new to Indiana Tech, our dining service is called Tech Fresh. We want to invite you to participate in several fun Touch of Home offerings we have created! For starters, you can send us your student's favorite recipe from home to
techfreshcatering@indianatech.edu to have it featured as an option in our dining hall this semester! In that email, feel free to include your student's name and hometown if you would like us to publicize that information.
Soon, you will also be able to purchase Hugs from Home items or packages for your student at the online home of Indiana Tech's Tech Treasures gift shop (found at
indiana-tech.cpcomstore.com). You'll even have the option to send along a personalized note, as well. Watch for details about Hugs from Home at the Tech Treasures online store and in future issues of the Warrior Family Association e-newsletter.
Please contact the director of dining services, Garrett Tyk, at 260.422.5561, ext. 2263, or at
gntyk@indianatech.edu, for any questions you may have regarding our services.
