February 10th ~ 40 Wineries! |
|
|
Get out and explore along the Wine Road.
Only $50 for a day of tasting, no other tasting fees, no advance reservations at each winery, just order your ticket for the day and show your ticket (on your phone) at each winery you visit. It's easy AND a great deal!
Each winery will pour two or three wines for each ticket holder. This is a casual walk-in tasting, not a food-pairing. Plan to visit 3-4 wineries for the day. Order your ticket online, then show it on your phone at each winery you visit for the day.
Happy Tasting

| Get ready to immerse yourself in a truly unique and enchanting experience!
This isn't your everyday wine tasting - it's an exclusive opportunity to venture straight into the heart of the cellar, taste exquisite wines as they mature in the barrel, and engage with the passionate individuals who create them.
And that’s not all - you can even secure these magnificent flavors for your future enjoyment by purchasing them as "futures". Yes, that's right! You get to return when the wine is bottled, typically 6-12 months from the event, and pick up your bottled wine.

|
This magical journey gives you a sneak peek at the exciting new vintage in the barrel, offering you the chance to hear firsthand from our winemakers about their perceptions and expectations of the current vintage. Trust us - it's a weekend you won't want to miss!
It's not just us who think this event is fantastic - it's our 46th Annual Barrel Tasting! We must be doing something right, and we can't wait for you to join us and see for yourself!

Guide to White Wine: Varieties, Pairings & Regions |

|
| Understanding White Wine
Sometimes I feel like a walking encyclopedia of wine. Be it white, red, rosé or sparkling, friends and family ask me so many questions about wine. I don’t mind, but it also made me realize I should write down the answers in an organized fashion so even folks who don’t know me can find the answers to their wine questions too.

There is so much to know about wine, so I’m going to start with information about just white wine and see where that takes us. .

You can check out our website and find all of the prior reviews.
Look for a "Riesling & Gewurztraminer" review out next week and this week, we've linked to our recent review of Viognier.

| The sweet smell of rain-freshened air is one of the joys of early spring along the Wine Road, but there are many more.
Wild Mustard in Bloom
One of my favorite early spring sights is the mustard blooming in vineyards, along the sides of back roads and anywhere else it left seeds the year before.
The window to enjoy this visual treat lasts only a few weeks from early February through mid-March.
