Welcome to Miami!

Congratulations on joining the Miami community. We are thrilled to welcome you to the family! This is the first of many Hawk Herald newsletters you will receive as you prepare for your Miami experience and during your first semester at Miami. The Hawk Herald is designed specifically for new Miami students; each edition is packed with information, tips, and resources to support your transition to academic and student life at Miami.

Curious About What's Next? Attend Next Week's RedHawk Chat.

Wednesday October 28, 6:00 pm EST

New students and family members are invited to join staff from Orientation and Transition Programs to learn more about the orientation process for new students beginning in the spring 2021 semester, and get answers and resources for your questions. We'll review the orientation process, pshare ways to connect with Miami even before you begin classes in January, and have opportunities to ask about the Miami experience. Registration for this online webinar is required.

Set Up Duo Two-Factor Authentication

In order to access Miami systems, students (not parents or family members) must enroll in Duo two-factor authentication. You will be prompted to enroll in DUO the first time you sign in to ANY Miami resource after confirming admission. The easiest method for using Duo is a smartphone app (but texts and phone calls are also permissible).
For more information about Duo, see our IT Knowledge Base or chat with a representative at  - MiamiOH.edu/itchat.
