Dear Colleagues,

On May 7, we announced that four finalists for the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs (VPAA) position would be visiting in the following weeks. Unfortunately, two of those candidates subsequently withdrew their applications. We then reexamined the candidate pool for alternates while the two remaining finalists completed their visits as scheduled. I am happy to share that two very well-qualified applicants have accepted our invitation to interview for the VPAA position and will be visiting campus on May 29 and June 4.

Details about the position, the candidates, campus visits, and Q&A open forums are available on the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs search website. Campus visit schedules will be posted when finalized. Access to finalist CVs will require logging in with UWM credentials.  

Open forum sessions, including the Q&A, will be hybrid. The Teams live event links are posted on the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs search website. Audience members may ask live (in-person or virtual) questions of the candidates during these Q&A sessions. The two additional candidates and their open forum details are listed below. 

Confidential surveys to gather feedback on each finalist will be available on the VPAA search website, candidates’ information page, by the start of the visits. Surveys for all four finalists will close on June 10, 2024  at 11:45 p.m. Feedback will be collected and presented to me in a non-identifying format for my review and consideration.
