Spring 2020

Patricia Barry Levy
Here is a small suite of images I've made recently, and take comfort in. The places are composed from photographs I took in: Paris, France; Schwabisch Hall, Germany; Kanazawa and Takamatsu, Japan; Tallinn, Estonia; Valparaiso, Chile; St. Petersburg, Russia; and closest to home Midwest, U.S.A. So, different parts of the world are merged together into common global neighborhoods.

I found the seeds on walks and travels. They are from palm, sequoia and oak trees. Real world Seed Savers are people who protect plant diversity for future generations by collecting, growing and sharing heirloom plants. These birds have the same general idea in mind. The bird images I used are by an anonymous illustrator and were published in London in 1776.

Be well, and keep your dreams alive.
