Winter 2017
'Welcome Back' from the Vice President
Friends,
Happy New Year! It’s a new day and a new time for all of us to reflect on this past year and look forward to a new year. There have been many ups and downs this past year, but I am constantly reminded that the work we do on campus is needed more than ever.
The conversations we have with our students are vitally important to our learning environment. The support networks we provide make a difference to a number of students. Our work is never really ever done. The programs and services we provide to our current students helps prepare them for life after graduation. I am thankful that I have a small part to play in the development of our students, but I am even more thankful to work with a group of employees that strive to make Indiana State the best environment for our students. They are committed, dedicated, and caring.
As this new semester begins, I am thankful to be a part of the Sycamore family and to have the opportunity to shape the lives of our students. Thank you for your continued support of the Division of Student Affairs and Indiana State University. I hope you have a great new year filled with joy, laughter, and blessings.
All my best,
WB
Dr. Willie L. Banks, Jr.
Vice President for Student Affairs
Indiana State University
