August 2026 Teacher of the Month

In cooperation with the Mayor's office and City Council, the Rotary Club of Okla. City recognizes an outstanding teacher in our community.

Lauren Peck-Weisenfels has been named Teacher of the Month for August 2026. Lauren was an Oklahoma City Public Schools District Teacher of the Year Finalist in 2026, and serves as the Drama teacher at Classen School of Advanced Studies. She has created an academically rigorous theatre program and a safe classroom culture through routines that encourage open communication, quality feedback, and relationship development.

Lauren is a solution-oriented leader who approaches obstacles with a creative and collaborative mindset and has played an active role in state-wide advocacy efforts for arts education as a board member of Oklahoma Thespians.

Lauren believes the power of partnership is the key to success.
