Texas A&M Maritime Academy student cadets received first-hand training Saturday in answering the first law of the sea to render aid to those in distress.

Thanks to Good Bull from Galveston Campus employees, UTMB graduate Anna-Barbara O'James made it to her graduation ceremony despite the Pelican Island Bridge closures in May.

On June 2, Texas A&M University cadets, faculty and staff left Galveston as part of the Texas A&M Maritime Academy’s summer sea term to prepare future mariners and maritime professionals to support national security and drive the nation’s blue economy.

On June 13, the Texas A&M Maritime Academy hosted another successful event, this time in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with free festivities onboard the 540-foot training ship, TS Kennedy.
