Mon and Tues, July 6 and 7
Join Russian-born journalist Julia Ioffe, one of America's most influential voices on Russia-US relations, as she discusses her new book, Motherland. Ioffe tells the story of modern Russia through the lives of its women, tracing Russia’s turbulent journey—from revolution to utopia to autocracy—through the biographies of revolutionaries, political wives, Soviet women soldiers, and contemporary dissidents. She reveals how one of the twentieth century’s most audacious social experiments that promised women liberation, failed them profoundly, giving shape to the Russia of today. (Sponsored) More info
