The theme for The Authors Guild Foundation's Second Annual WIT Festival at Shakespeare & Company is "Changing The Narrative."' FreshGrass Festival

Fri–Sun, Sep 22–24
The FreshGrass Festival begins Friday on the grounds of MASS MoCA. Rising alt-country star Sierra Ferrell performs Friday; punk legends Dropkick Murphys perform an acoustic set that will draw largely on its two recent LPs of Woody Guthrie covers on Saturday; and country-rockers Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real are on Sunday. At The Foundry

The Foundry has a trio of performances this weekend. On Friday, check out Sonoro, a jazz, Latin, and classical music blend spearheaded by composer and musician Sharon Ruchman. Norma Dream, the songwriting project of Norma Jean Haynes, takes the stage on Saturday. And on Sunday, Brooklyn-based goth-folk music duo Charming Disaster return. More info

Black LP Album

Release Show

The Black Legacy Project (Black LP) is a national project produced by Music in Common—a Berkshire-born nonprofit that strengthens, empowers, and connects communities through the universal language of music. Join the Black LP for an album release show Friday night at The Guthrie Center in Housatonic, and then at 11 a.m. on Sat, Sep 23, at FreshGrass, the Black LP will perform on the No Depression Stage. For the 10th anniversary of The Berkshire 25, a special reception will be held at The Colonial Theatre with performances by Wanda Houston and Andy Wrba, as well as Yo Soy Arte; an awards ceremony; and some very special guests. The Big Squeeze

The Lenox Apple Squeeze makes its way back to Lenox! It's a full day of family fun with music, food, and a kids carnival in Lilac Park—with hayrides and face painting! There will be an Antimony Brewing Beer Garden at 67 Church Street, as well as more than 70 vendors selling food and artisan craft.
