150th Anniversary

A short film series to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Williamstown's Public Library is being held at the Clark. On Thursday night, watch The NeverEnding Story, about a boy with a love of books who becomes drawn into a timeless world of fabulous creatures. This event is free. On Saturday from 11 to 2, there will be an open house at the Milne Public Library. More info

Weekend of Music at Race Brook

Award-winning Afro-Cuban jazz singer Daymé Arocena will perform Saturday at MASS MoCA's Hunter Center. Arocena has been described by The Guardian as Cuba's "finest young female singer." Compared to Celia Cruz, Aretha Franklin, La Lupe, and Ella Fitzgerald, Arocena draws inspiration from the intertwining musical legacies of her native Cuba. Roxana Robinson will be in conversation with André Bernard at the Stockbridge Library on Saturday afternoon. Robinson is the author of 11 books, four of which were chosen as The New York Times Notable Books, two as The New York Times Editors’ Choices. Bernard is vice president of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. More info
