FBC & the Coronavirus

The State of Oregon has provided recommendations in regard to large public gatherings in light of concerns over the Coronavirus.  FBC is taking precautions to do our part as a good member of our community.
On Sunday mornings, our 10:30 am Worship Service is always available to view via Livestream through our website at www.fbcmedford.org.  Click the tab ”Watch Service Live.” (Need any help with watching online? Call Pastor Jeff: 541-630-3054)
Anyone is welcome to watch from home.
For the next 4 weeks, the FBC Worship Center will be open as we broadcast the Livestream service.  If you are symptom-free you are welcome to come to the FBC Worship Center; however, we will be limiting the number of people in our Worship Center to 200.  After that, we will direct people to watch the service on video screens in the Fireside Room.
We are also asking our ushers to watch closely for symptoms and if they notice any, they will ask that individual to watch our service in another location.
Our current midweek activities will continue as normal.

Thank you!

FBC Ministry Update:
Clothing Exchange

Last weekend we hosted our Spring Clothing Exchange in the FBC Gym.  We are always so thankful for the generosity of those who share their gently used clothing items for this ministry that blesses not just our church, but also our surrounding community.  We offer those who bring in the items the ability to receive a voucher and participate in the exchange on Friday night.  On Saturday, we open it up to the community and offer the items for just 10 cents, and at the end of the day, we give a donation to the Table Rock Church Food/Clothing Pantry ministry.  This event also gives us the opportunity to interact with people and show them the love of Jesus through something as simple as an item of clothing.

Here are just a few comments from those who attend:
            “Great ministry – thank you!”
“We have always had a good experience here.  Thank you for all your hard work.”
            “We love the Clothing Exchange!”
“I Love what you are doing.  You are a blessing to myself and to others.”
“Thank you so much for this active resource.”
“This event is a giant blessing to our family”

Our Clothing Exchange is an extension to other ministries around our valley.  One lady comes to get items for the residents at the Farmington Square Memory Care Center.  These residents don’t always have the items provided for them by their families. Another man is involved in a Homeless ministry at Hawthorne Park, so we gathered items together for him to share with those who don’t have the resources or ability to even come to our event.  He was so grateful and was excited to distribute the clothes.

Begin to save your items for our next event which will be August 27-29, 2020!

You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.”  2 Corinthians 9:11
