21 Days Until the Priority Deadline!
Interested in the SOUL position? We are now less than a month away from the priority application deadline. Get to Know the Orientation Student Coordinators

Maura Goins and Denisse Contreras currently serve as the Orientation Student Coordinators for the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs. This means that they currently assist in the recruitment of SOUL applicants and will help with the selection and training of the 2020 SOUL team. In addition, the Orientation Student Coordinators served as SOULs last summer, and will serve as mentors for the 2020 SOUL team. Here are some fun facts about this years student coordinators:

Denisse Contreras

  • I have lived in 11 different houses, 4 different states, and 2 countries throughout my life.
  • I’m fluent in Spanish and speak a little Italian! I want to become fluent in Italian and live like a local in Italy for at least a month at some point in my life.
  • I have an extensive bucket list that I plan on completing through the idea of seeking discomfort as a way to live life. I want to get these dreams crossed off even if they scare me, and have no regrets of what could have been if I had only tried.

  • My dad is a musician, so I’ve grown up with a lot of great music around my house. I also taught myself how to play the piano when I was 8!
  • I really, really love Pinterest. I have so many boards of art, clothes, quotes, and everything in-between.
  • I have a huge sweet tooth, and my absolute favorite dessert is cheesecake. I will never say no to dessert!
