This retreat integrates meditation as practiced in the spirit of Springwater Center with the movement-based somatic work of Continuum Movement. Friday October 24 - Sandra Gonzalez Radio Interview

Don't miss an opportunity to hear a Center teacher live. On Friday October 24, 10 a.m. Pacific Time, 1 p.m. Eastern Time, Sandra Gonzalez will be interviewed on the internet Talk Radio program "On the Front Porch with Ami Chen: Spiritual Dialogues for the 21st Century." In Amy's words, "This is an hour-long program and the interest is in a dialogue that emerges from the curiosity and openness to find the truth that is here now, in the moment, in an atmosphere of simplicity, formlessness, reflection and inquiry, without a technique." October 9 - 12 - Retreat with Sandra in Miami

Miami friends are organizing a retreat with Sandra. Please contact her for more information.

October 25 - All-Day Sitting 8:30 - 4:00

Join us for a day with periods of silent meditation, a talk by a Center teacher, and group dialogue in the afternoon. A requested $15 donation includes vegetarian lunch. It is helpful to arrive by 8:15 a.m. See the schedule, and please contact the receptionist if you wish to attend, and/or stay overnight before or following the All-Day.

November 8 - 15 - Seven-day Retreat with Sandra Gonzalez

Sandra will give talks and be available for meetings. Application are arriving for this retreat, but space is available; for information and retreat registration, visit the Retreats page of the website.

The 2015 calendar of events will soon be posted on the website along with events remaining in 2014.

Digital Archive Project

Digitization of cassette recordings of talks by Toni Packer has been completed. Grateful thanks to Peter and Chana Santschi, who made a generous donation to digitize cassette recordings of talks Toni made in locations away from Springwater including Europe and California. As Toni's family in Switzerland had already made possible the digitization of Toni's Springwater reel-to-reel recordings, talks Toni gave over many years in Springwater and elsewhere are now in digital format.

The next stage of the archive project will be to create an on-line catalogue to access the talks.

Joan Tollifson Radio Interview

Hear Joan in a September 17 interview on Rami Shapiro’s radio show “How to Be a Holy Rascal” on his website or podcast. Joan talks of meditation and open inquiry, Toni Packer and life at Springwater Center. Now an independant teacher, Joan worked on her first book, Bare-Bones Meditation, while on staff at the Center.

Honoring Eben Gulick

Friends and family of Eben gathered at the Center on September 13 to share in the quiet meditative environment that Eben loved, and to dedicate a bench in his memory. (Photo below) Many thanks to Eben's parents Lissy and Hank Gulick, sister Catherine Gulick and other family members for their help in organizing the gathering, gifts of food, books, and artwork, and spoken contributions.
