In collaboration with the CSU Chancellors Office, Sacramento State Student Health, Counseling, & Wellness Services (SHCWS) is preparing to administer the National College Health Assessment (NCHA) III Survey this Spring from March 25th – April 12th. The NCHA III is a nationally recognized survey developed by the American College Health Association, and we are so excited to bring it back to Sac State!
The purpose of this survey is to gather health and wellness information from students. This is a confidential and robust survey which asks questions about various topics related to health and wellness including mental health, physical health, access to healthcare, access to housing and food, and more. Data collected from this survey will be publicly shared with the University, but no identifying information of the participants will be shared. Participating in the NCHA III survey provides you with an opportunity to help make a positive impact on the campus community and help drive changes to support health and wellness at Sac State! Data collected from this survey will be used to improve existing programs on campus and create new programs to support the diverse health and wellness needs of all Sac State Students.
The NCHA III is administered electronically and takes about 45-60 minutes to complete. Participation in the survey is completely voluntary and all responses are strictly anonymous and confidential. If you choose to participate in the NCHA III, you will be entered into random giveaways and drawings to win prizes including a Nintendo Switch, Air Pods, and Sac State Swag!
Students are selected at random to take the NCHA III survey. Regularly check your Sac State email to see if you receive an email from Sacramento State Student Health, Counseling, and Wellness Services inviting you to participate in the survey! Don’t forget to check your junk or spam folders. Please complete the survey before the April 12 deadline. Your responses are important in improving health and wellness on campus and can help represent other students just like you!
