Student Life invites you to join us next Friday at 4:30 pm for–
Circle Up: A documentary screening and talk back event |
After the brutal slaying of her teenage son, Janet Connors reaches out to her son's killer to offer a chance at forgiveness. Together, they teamed up with a group of mothers of murdered children–including Clarissa Turner–to help young people in their community break the chain of violence and revenge.
Through the use of Indigenous practices such as circles, these mothers are helping individuals, organizations, and institutions reshape how they think about healing after harm.
Circle Up is a call to action to reframe how crime and punishment is approached through the lens of restorative practices, compassion, and love.

Please join us for a screening and talk back with Janet Connors and Clarissa Turner.
