Dear College of Fine Arts Community,
As we transition back to fully in-person teaching and learning, we have good news that will make frequent COVID-19 testing within our Fine Arts community easier and more convenient for you.
We will have a WALK-UP pop-up testing two days a week with the UHS-sanctioned external testing vendor (QC eClinic), in the Kendra Scott Center, located on the first floor of Doty Fine Arts Building (DFA). No appointment is needed.
- Mondays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This site will offer rapid antigen nasal swab test and takes about 5 minutes, and results will be available on the vendor’s portal within 2-3 hours. (You’ll receive an email from portal@labnexus.net after your test to set up an account to view your results.)
Bring your cell phone to complete a brief check-in process at your appointment. You can speed things up by downloading the Protect Texas app and completing the PCT Consent Pass. This testing is being offered by the same third-party vendor providing testing in the Texas Union.
Vaccines, masking and frequent testing are our best tools for preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our Fine Arts community to keep our community safe. We want to deliver on our instructional mission and to support you in pursuing your passions, and we want to get to the end of the term with as many safe, in-person experiences as possible. We encourage everyone in our community to get tested at least once a week to help us continue these efforts.
Thank you for masking and observing careful behavior these first few weeks of class. Your efforts protect not only your own health, but that of our dedicated faculty and staff, while also protecting their families with children or with immunocompromised family members.
Sincerely,
