A NEW OASIS BOOK IS OUT!

INFLUENCE: LEADING WITHOUT POSITION

Influence: Leading Without Position, is a must-get book for anyone who longs for a voice to help shape the direction of the church or society. Influence is filled with inspiring and real stories of the lives of young people recorded in the Bible who influenced nations and leaders, even when they did not have official positions of power.
Each of these influencers faced a different challenge, similar to what we face today in our churches and nations. Influence will guide you on how to learn the steps to becoming an influencer.
"Jesus inspired people so they caught his passion, involved them so they learned and were equipped, and finally handed over the task to these followers."

"Influence may not reap fast and dramatic results, but we are not living for ourselves and our generation only."
–Influence: Leading Without Position by Philip E. Morrison and Hankuri Tawus Gaya

MORE BIBLES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM MOST

GOD'S WORD FOR AFRICA
The God's Word for Africa program has launched two major projects which will see more school children receive and use Bibles for their instruction in school and also provide pastors, evangelists, and new believers with Bibles for discipleship–Bibles with notes that explain Scripture in an African context, making it easy to understand.
Bibles for Schoolchildren project will equip 100 schools with Bibles as textbooks for Religious Education in Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda.
"The Bibles will provide the next generation of leaders with a vibrant faith in Jesus. They are the future leaders in Ghana and therefore need to be equipped with the Word of God now."  –Kwame Adu, National Director of Scripture Union Ghana
God's Word for the Unreached project will train Nigerian Pastors serving in the region under attack by Boko Haram and other countries such as Cameroon, Sudan, and South Sudan.
"We will provide Africa Study Bibles to pastors in the Church of the Brethren in northeastern Nigeria. You will remember that this is the church that has been hit the hardest with Boko Haram." –Dr Danny McCain, Global Scholars and University of Jos, Nigeria

Africa Study Bibles for Anglican Bishops in Africa

Oasis was honoured to have Rev. Canon Kofi deGraft-Johnson (General Secretary of Council of Anglican Provinces of Africa-CAPA) receive 460 Africa Study Bibles from Nyambura Kamau (Regional Director, EA, Oasis International). The Bibles will be issued to Anglican Bishops in Africa, as well as the French ASB samplers given to Francophone Anglican Bishops.

The Archbishop of Kenya was further presented with the Africa Study Bible by Rev. Canon Kofi deGraft-Johnson on behalf of the Anglican Bishops in Kenya.
We look forward to sharing more from CAPA on how the Africa Study Bible continues to reveal the truth and beauty of “God’s Word through African Eyes"

We're thankful to report that despite the shipping challenges created by the COVID19 pandemic, Africa Study Bibles are on their way to Ghana, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Cameroon.
"Apart from the permanent need of these tools from this end of the globe, the reality on the ground here in Cameroon is that COVID-19 caused many to seek and talk to God. As one of the contributors in writing the notes of the Africa Study Bible, I am excited to have them for distribution. And you can be more than sure and certain that the happiness of the pastors-recipients will outweigh mine.” –Dr Charlemagne Nditemeh, Cameroon Baptist Convention

STORIES THROUGH AFRICAN EYES

"Why do we suffer – or more importantly, how?"
In the current uncertain times, we may not know exactly why we suffer, but God’s Word tells us how we can endure. To keep us encouraged, we need to remember that our Saviour suffered with and for us as we read this Africa Study Bible excerpt from the article, Suffering: God’s Goodness and God’s Power”.
