Kristi Forman, Director of Admissions, has been accepted to the University of Tennessee System Leadership Institute, to be held February 16-21, 2025 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Institute is a system-wide program, recognizing and encouraging the leadership development of the University’s Faculty and Staff. Approximately fifty participants from University of Tennessee institutions and administrative units are invited to attend.
The selection process is competitive and Institute participants are selected based upon nomination statements submitted by nominators, who are university employees. The Institute recognizes faculty and staff who have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and abilities and are identified as having potential for even greater service to the University of Tennessee and higher education in Tennessee.
Jarrod Young, Director of Operations / Technology and Business Development at CHIPS, recently attended SIMex 2024 in Mexico City, representing SSH Accreditation Leadership. This event brought together healthcare simulation experts from across Mexico and Latin America, showcasing a vibrant and growing community dedicated to improving patient care. This opportunity provided a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and the validation of innovative approaches to enhance patient safety and quality.
Young, along with current Accreditation Chair Jack Jaeger, presented a keynote lecture on “Simulation as a Tool for Improving Quality and Patient Safety.” In addition to the keynote, Jarrod participated in a workshop aiming to increase Accreditation and Certification across Mexico and Latin America with the current President of the Mexican Simulation Society (SOMESICS) Dr. Edgar Herrera.
