Dear parents and families,

I am deeply proud and grateful as we come together to celebrate the achievements of your graduating students.

We know that the support students receive from their loved ones during their college career reinforces the work we do in the Division of Student Affairs to prepare them for lifelong success. So, thank you for being our partner in this journey.

Also, congratulations! You are the parents and families of the WashU Class of 2025, which is no small feat.

It has been a privilege having your student and your family here these past four years and an honor to have you, our parents and family members, as forever members of the WashU community.

Spring 2025

The university-wide Commencement Ceremony will take place on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 9 a.m. on Francis Olympic Field. Additional information about school ceremony schedules and affinity celebration schedule can be found on the Commencement website, and more information about school ceremony tickets can be found in the Commencement FAQ. 

If your student is living in university housing, know there are specific move-out procedures they must follow. The last day to check-out for graduating students is Monday, May 12 by 5 p.m. May 12 is a very busy day on campus, so we encourage you and your student to have a move-out plan to ensure the process goes smoothly.

Our Center for Career Engagement will always be here for your student, including as an alum. Norma Guerra Gaier, associate vice chancellor for career development and education, recently sat down with The Record to share tips for Class of 2025 jobseekers.
