While reducing fossil fuel dependence will be crucial in mitigating climate change over the coming century, Tech researchers are examining how coastal ecosystems can aid in the removal of existing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Olga Shemyakina and Jean Lynch-Stieglitz have been selected by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The fellowship builds STEM expertise in the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
