"I'm going to tell everyone on campus about Jesus ... and make you ladies proud!" said Johnzel, YL staff at Atlanta University Center.

Last month, women gathered in John's Creek, Atlanta and hosted a local giving circle to kick off the holiday season. Together, they raised $10,000 for Atlanta University Center, a hub for HBCU colleges that will serve as the first YL College ministry in the city! Women were so inspired that they gave additionally to their local area camp scholarships as well as a new international ministry called YL Hope in Africa, coming alongside teens facing severe illnesses. Atlanta women continue to spur one another on! This is their 9th women's giving circle since 2018, raising over $140,000 with more to come this spring!

JANICE BALDWIN was first introduced to the mission of Young Life as a student at Saratoga High School in California, where she met the Lord and attended Woodleaf Camp. After high school, she served on Work Crew at Malibu Club and became a Young Life leader in the Bay Area. In 1992, Janice and her husband Brad moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where God placed a vision on their hearts to help start Young Life in North Idaho, which launched in 2000. Janice now serves on the Women’s Engagement and Philanthropy Council and is deeply invested in Young Life both locally and internationally—making it a priority to connect with and encourage local leaders while traveling abroad. Married for 40 years, Janice and Brad have three adult children and one grandchild, all living in the Pacific Northwest.
Reflecting on her experience with the Global Giving Circle, Janice shares, “Being part of the GGC has opened my heart to seeing how God is powerfully at work around the world, creating a groundswell of teenagers eager to know Jesus.” She continues to find great joy in the way Young Life meets teens where they are and invites them into life-changing relationships with Christ.
