Announcing the Sixth Northeast District Biennial Convention

The Sixth Northeast District Convention will begin with dinner on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Our theme is "Ten Years Together – Growing Our Community."
We have fabulous workshops available for you! READ THE WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS; then make your workshop choices when you register for convention.
Hotel reservations must be made separately.
Join us! Meet with women of the Northeast District to learn, share, listen, pray, and celebrate together. Connect with friends and make new friends.

Convention Scholarships

We are pleased to offer scholarshiprants to sisterhoods that did not send delegates to the last Northeast District Convention, in November 2016.

Which Meals are Included in the Convention Fee?

Thursday: Dinner
Friday: Brunch (10:30 a.m.) and dinner
Saturday: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Sunday: Breakfast and lunch
Breakfast on Friday is not included in the convention fee.
Make your food choices on the convention registration form.

Become a Sponsor!

Sisterhoods, companies, and individuals can sponsor a portion of the convention to recognize board members or sisterhoods.

Choir Members!

You mist sign up in advance to participate in the Northeast District Choir, which will be led by Robin Sobol.
The choir will meet for rehearsal on Friday, October 26, from 12:25 to 1:55 p.m. (Workshop Series II timeslot).
Music will be sent ahead of time.
No walk-ins will be permitted!

Make Our Tribute Tree Grow

A new "Tribute Tree" will grace our registration area at the convention. Sixty percent of the proceeds from the Tribute Tree will be contributed to the YES Fund; forty percent will go directly to programs and scholarships within our own district.

*  Thursday evening opening plenary featuring Judith Rosenbaum, Executive Director of the Jewish Women's Archive
*  Shabbat morning services led by Rabbi Allison Berry, Cantorial Soloist Lisa Marcus Jones, and the WRJ Northeast District Choir
*  Torah study with Rabbi Berry
*  Special guest Jane Taves, WRJ Vice President of Advocacy and Marketing & Communications
*  The Brass Sisters, PBS cooking stars
*  Concert with Sue Horowitz & Friends
*  Social action project: Fleece "comfort blankets" for patients at the Cancer Center of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute
