Students participating in a simulation gained real-world experience while collaborating to solve multiple challenges along a fictional supply chain.

UMSL faculty and students are excited to host a site for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, offering free tax preparation services to area residents.

The annual competition allows UMSL students to present a unique product for a chance to win funds that will assist their new business venture.

The St. Louis Business Journal organized the event, which brought about 220 people to the MSC Century Rooms.

The award is presented to up to three staff or faculty members each month in recognition of their efforts to transform the lives of UMSL students and the wider community.

Scheetz has climbed the ranks of ITS over more than 25 years at UMSL and has been serving as interim CIO since July.

More than 350 UMSL students and alumni visited with representatives from 76 employers in a wide variety of career fields.

How are you involved with business students at EGSCoB today? "I serve as the Finance Campus Lead for Boeing with UMSL where I continue to give back through engagement with the business students through career fairs, mentoring programs and onsite activities. This is one of the most rewarding hats I wear. The students at UMSL are fantastic and I truly enjoy dedicating my time supporting them."

How has your education at UMSL Business transformed your life? "While at UMSL, the accounting program transformed my critical thinking skills which helped build my career. So many projects and discussions held in classroom settings challenged my thinking on various accounting and business topics. Very similar examples showed up year after year while working at Boeing. Having had those classroom experiences, it made the discussions on the job that much smoother and relatable. I was able to rise to the challenge and saw my career grow for years to come. I am forever grateful for the professors at UMSL and the curriculum that more than prepared me for the real world."
