Binational Migrant Advocacy Project to Celebrate Launch in Mexico

The Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic (LIJC) invites all members of the Loyola Law School community to attend events commemorating the launch of its Binational Migrant Advocacy Project (BMAP) in Guadalajara, Mexico. The official inauguration of the clinic, housed at Jesuit partner university ITESO, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Related activities from Aug. 31-Sept. 3 will include an art exhibit, immigration services roundtable, and screening of the film "Voces Inocentes," featuring renowned director Luis Mandoki and screenwriter Oscar Torres. BMAP is the first binational clinic of its kind based at a U.S. law school, fostering cross-border partnerships that enhance legal education and advance justice on an international scale.

Bookstore Hours Updated for Orientation Week

The LLS Bookstore will be open until 7 p.m., today, Wednesday, Aug. 13; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14; and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15. Pick up any remaining books or supplies you need before the fall semester starts on Monday, Aug. 18!

Hybrid JD Evening student Michael Crumby ’27 has had his eye on being an in-house counsel at a major corporation since he started law school. With his summer internship at Pharmavite, which manufactures popular health food products and vitamins, he got his first taste of the life of an in-house counsel, working on a trademark enforcement project and observing the many roles in-house legal teams play within a major corporation.
