Research Assistant Job Announcement
with Professor Priscilla Ocen | Summer 2024
The Research Assistant will work collaboratively with Professor Ocen on projects related to reproductive justice, prisons, and policing.
Responsibilities
- Analyze academic literature, government statistics, and caselaw on subjects ranging from abortion to the Fourth Amendment
- Compile and organize research materials
- Assist in drafting memoranda, white papers, academic articles, and correspondence, as needed.
Qualifications
- Enrollment at LLS for 24-25 academic year
- Strong research and writing skills
- Background or interest in reproductive justice, gender studies, critical race theory, policing, and prisons
- Ability to work 20 hours per week
- Familiarity with research databases such as Westlaw and Jstor
- Detail-oriented and organized
