Homeless Connect Day: A One-Stop Shop |
Every day, people experiencing homelessness face countless barriers just to access basic services—from replacing a lost ID to renewing benefits or seeing a doctor. Tasks that might seem simple can require hours of travel, long waits, and navigating complex systems. That’s why LA Family Housing created Homeless Connect Day, a monthly event that brings dozens of service providers together in one place to meet participants where they are and help them access the resources they need.
Click here to learn more about this event and how our community is coming together to remove barriers and create hope.
Homeless Connect Day takes place every third Thursday of the month—our next event is tomorrow, March 19! Click here to sign up and volunteer.

Celebrating Women's History Month |
|
|
In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8th and Women’s History Month, we’re reflecting on the incredible residents of our all-women interim housing site, The Arroyo. Last year, our team had the privilege of asking these women to share what makes them feel confident, proud, and strong. Their stories are about more than their past — they’re about who they are today: resilient, powerful, and full of possibility.
Click here to watch the video and follow us on social for more stories! Throughout this month, we are sharing powerful stories from the amazing women who shape the LAFH community. Stay tuned!

Last month LA Family Housing was thrilled to officially welcome 107 residents to The Cielo, our newest permanent supportive housing community for people experiencing chronic homelessness in the San Fernando Valley. The Cielo offers more than a place to live—it provides a true home, along with the services and support residents need to remain housed for the long term. For every resident of The Cielo, the journey from homelessness to home looks different. But what unites these individuals now is how this new community is helping restore their dignity, foster hope, and create lasting pathways to stability—making it possible for them to leave homelessness behind for good. One of the most powerful ways to understand The Cielo’s impact on the people who live there is through their stories. Today, we’d like to introduce you to Brenda, Kyle, and Rhonda and share how they found their way home.

| Donation of the Month: Deodorant and Baby Wipes
|
This month, LA Family Housing is collecting full-size deodorant and baby wipes to support individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness. Access to hygiene products helps restore dignity, improve health outcomes, and build confidence as participants attend work, school, housing appointments, and job interviews. These simple items make a powerful impact.

Volunteers are needed to make sack lunches for LAFH's outreach team. In making these sack lunches, you are aiding our outreach team to build trust and bridge connections to further assistance. Your contributions will help our unhoused neighbors leave with a full stomach and an even fuller heart.
