Message from Fritz

Dear members,

As we waded into our affiliation with Surf Sports after being selected as one of its Northern California partners, I laid out my optimism for what it could mean for our club and community. Six months into our partnership, I am thrilled to provide you with a positive review of how it is going.

With Surf Nation growing to 34 clubs across the US, its territories and most recently expanding into Canada, the network effect is truly benefitting all of us. Leveraging buying power for quality soccer balls, face-masks and other sports equipment has benefitted coaches and players, while collaboration with other Surf Nation coaches and club leaders sharing best practices, ideas and club resources is helping us become a better club.

It is the opportunities for our players that excites me the most. We are currently launching Surf’s college recruitment platform the Scouting Zone to the benefit of our players entering the college prep years. This, along with Surf’s support will give our U15+ players a huge leg up in the college recruitment process. For younger players, our first Northern California Surf-Select Player ID will happen at the end of the month, with many more cross-club events planned for the future.

As touted from the start, the Surf brand is synonymous with top club and player development, meaningful playing experiences, and high quality playing events that showcase player talent. I am thrilled that we are heading in the right direction and I look forward to a very bright future. And....I love the uniforms! Our players and coaches look great!

Juggles for Dimes

We are proud to announce Juggles for Dimes! A fundraiser for our teams and our club's charitable arm Surf for All which awards soccer scholarships to those in need. Earn team money, help those in need, and become the Folsom Lake Surf juggling champion! Sounds like a Win-Win-Win! Now get out there and start juggling!

The first of many NorCal Surf Select camps - giving another opportunity to our players to become the "Best of the Best". Players making the NorCal Surf Select team will get to go to San Diego to compete against other Surf Nation Surf Select teams. Click below to learn more about Surf Select.

Surf Nation - 34 Clubs Strong and Growing

Surf Nation has added 6 new clubs to the affiliation in the past 4 months - Cascade Surf, Montana Surf, Central Texas Surf, British Colombia Surf, Puerto Rico Surf and Rhode Island Surf. In addition to that, existing Surf clubs have merged in smaller neighboring clubs to expand the benefits of Surf Nation to more players. #SurfNation #SurfOn3
