Arts Advocacy Day is the one day each year that arts advocates, organization leaders, and patrons come together to speak with our Nebraska legislators about the importance of supporting the arts and arts education in our state.
This year's events kick off with the Arts Advocacy Breakfast at the State Capitol. The event starts at 8:00a.m. with an opportunity to talk directly with State Senators.
Next, we move to the Governor's Residence for several presentations and training sessions:

Afternoon Sessions Added - Get Your Grant Skills Tuned Up!
The Nebraska Arts Council (NAC) is offering the following workshops during the afternoon:
Grant Basics & Program Information w/ Humanities Nebraska
1:30p.m.-2:15p.m. Lincoln Community Foundation, 215 Centennial Mall, Lincoln
Attendees will learn about the mission and structure of NAC and HN, as well as grants, deadlines and other opportunities.
Beyond the Basics: Grant Writing Tips & Techniques
2:30p.m.-3:30p.m. Lincoln Community Foundation, 215 Centennial Mall, LincolnThis workshop is designed for applicants who have questions about completing a NAC application. Common problems, recommendations for better narratives and budgets, and information about NAC's new grant system will be discussed.
