Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Each year, the Center for Student Wellness leads a campus-wide initiative to promote awareness, address prevention, and prompt response surrounding sexual harassment, assault, abuse and violence.
This year we reflect on how we provide space for survivors of interpersonal violence to ask for help and what does support look like. We recognize and emphasize the importance of listening to and believing survivors, while providing resources that exist both on and off campus. Being present for survivors empowers them to seek healing in the manner that they need.
