ISSS in the Summertime!

ISSS won't be releasing a weekly newsletter during the summer. However, please keep regularly checking your email because we will continue to update the community with any changes to policy or important information that may affect international students and scholars. 
Please note ISSS will have working hours of 7:30am - 4:30pm EDT (Ohio Time) Monday to Friday during the summer and will resume in-person operations in MacMillan Hall on July 6 (note that virtual appointments will still be available). 
ISSS will continue to be available for remote advising and will issue documents electronically.

Final tax webinar! Topics covered will include who must file a US tax return, residency for tax purposes, FICA, amended returns, implications of misfiling, the stimulus check and much more. Remember - the tax filing deadline is Monday, May 17, 2021.
Important Dates
  • Currently - open Fall 2021 course registration for all students on the Oxford campus. Review how to register for courses and contact your academic advisor for questions about how to make academic progress. 
  • May 15 - end of final examinations/semester
  • May 17 - deadline to file US taxes for 2020
  • May 20 - grades are viewable and last day to register for Summer 2021 courses

Fall 2021 Questions
As we wrap up Spring semester and head into summer, we know there are still a lot of questions about Fall 2021. We want you to know that Miami University is committed to your academic progress, success and mainting a healthy campus environment. We look forward to supporting you this fall semester (and beyond).
Reminder that ISSS asks all international students, except those graduating in May or August, to complete a survey by this Sunday, May 16, about your plans and concerns for Fall 2021. The “Fall 2021 Study Plan Survey” can be found in InterLink under “Other Student Services.”
In the near future, all international will be asked to complete a forthcoming InterLink form to formally report your Fall 2021 study plans. Please watch for that announcement from our office.
