   MEMORIAL DAY
Monday, May 26, is Memorial Day, a federal holiday honoring those who died in military service.
A piece of UNT history: The first permanent Union building on campus was dedicated in 1949 as the Memorial Student Union, a tribute to students and alumni who gave their lives in service. On the third floor of the current Union, a Memorial Wall honors members of the UNT community who died in World War I and World War II, as well as fellow Eagles who have served in the Armed Forces.
In observance of the holiday, the university will be closed. Business and classes will resume Tuesday, May 27.

   EAGLE ALERT

Check your contact information and update it if needed on the profile tab of my.unt.edu to ensure you receive the test messages and future alerts.
Students studying abroad in Italy
   MEAN GREEN ON THE MOVE
Students from the College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism are studying abroad in Italy, and they brought Scrappy along for the trip. The group raised its Flat Scrappy outside the Vivienne Westwood store in Milan.
If you're traveling this summer or enjoying a local adventure between classes, show off your Mean Green pride. Submit a photo of yourself repping UNT gear for a chance to be featured in UNT Weekly and win a T-shirt prize pack!

   IMMERSIVE FILM
Resolution: A Cinephonic Rhapsody for the Soul, an immersive dome theater film set to The Polyphonic Spree’s latest album, is now playing at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at the UNT Sky Theater through the summer.
Written and directed by UNT alumnus Scott Berman, the film (formerly known as Atmosphere) combines music and visuals in an experience unlike anything else on campus. It even won an audience award at SXSW! Tickets are $12 for UNT students and $16 for the general public.

   ACCREDITATION RENEWAL
The UNT Police Department is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, an achievement held by only 4% of all law enforcement agencies in the nation. The renewal process includes an open public portal for community members to submit comments about the department. If you would like to provide a comment, visit their website to learn more.
This is not an investigative body, and the purpose is to ensure the department is in compliance with CALEA Accreditation standards.
