FLC announces new nursing program 

Fort Lewis College has partnered with the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus to launch a new nursing program housed at FLC, prioritizing a curriculum based on cultural competency, community service, and educational excellence.

Students participate in long-haul COVID research 

Five FLC students are conducting research on the effects of Vitamin D on “long-haul” COVID-19 symptoms. Working with Shere Byrd, professor of Biology, students are learning skills that are critical to scientific research during the month-long study.

The Smithsonian American Art Museum has announced that artist Ursala Hudson (Art, '14) will be featured in the craft invitational at its Renwick Gallery in 2023. Hudson (Tlingit) and her sister Kahlil were selected as an artist duo for their work in the Chilkat and Ravenstail weaving styles, expressing the honors and burdens that Native artists balance as they carry forward their cultural traditions.
