Remnants of the snow remain in the shaded areas.
SCHOOL NOTES FROM MRS. WOODMAN
Dear Families and Friends,
I’m glad to be back with the students after our extended MLK/Snow weekend. Our youngest students have come back strong and are busily completing their kindergarten screening today and tomorrow. Hurray for Pre-K!
If you have not yet shopped in our online Spirit Store I invite you to check it out today. Our parents let us know that a webstore is a convenient option they would value. Now it is available with all of our new spirit merchandise introduced in December. The newest item for January is an awesome CKS umbrella in black with red lining and logo. Check it out!
Did you know that two additional classroom sets of Chromebooks were purchased and put in use last semester? One set resides in 4th grade and is shared by the lower school classrooms. The other resides in 7th grade a is shared by the middle school classrooms. Teachers now have access to two iPad carts and three Chromebook carts so they can use the devices most suited to their lessons. Additionally, the technology lab is getting new Chromeboxes to replace the older PCs. We anticipate better performance and increased work space for students, while still allowing them to use a full keyboard and view a larger screen when in the lab. These updates were possible due to the generosity of our annual fund donors. Thank you for your support!
Fr. Forsythe is leading a retreat for parents during Catholic Schools Week. Join him on January 31 for Silence Against the Noise, 8:00-11:00, followed by an intimate Mass for participants. Child care will be provided for younger siblings on a first come, first served basis. Call the office to reserve a place for your child.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sherry Woodman
Principal
What happens when it's too cold outside? Indoor recess!
