September is not only a time to celebrate spring - the season of new beginnings; that beloved time of year when fresh buds bloom, animals awaken and the earth seems to come to life again.

September is also the time when the wine world celebrates the undisputed king of red varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon. The most widely planted red grape variety in the world has been a part of Kanonkop's portfolio since the Estate's very first vintage in 1973.

Today, the 2nd of September, is indeed International Cabernet Sauvignon day, and with that in mind, we have some cracking Cabernet news to share with you!

Cabernet Sauvignon Vertical Tasting

During this first weekend of September we will host an exclusive vertical tasting of the past eight vintages of our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as our current vintage of the Kadette Cabernet Sauvignon. Our tasting room's doors are open and ready to welcome you to this exciting event - an opportunity not to be missed if you are a Cabernet fan.

Friday 3 September: 2pm to 6pm

Saturday 4 September: 9am to 2pm

Normal tasting fees apply.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 Pre-Release Offer

One of the most anticipated releases in the fine wine category this year is undoubtedly the new vintage of our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2017 vintage, will be officially released on the 1st of October (as is the custom every year), has been linked to rival the spectacular modern-day 2015 vintage. While possessing all the concentration of colour and flavour of the 2015 vintage, the 2017 displays an added sense of elegance and a delicate structure, making it an incredibly age-worthy wine.

As from today, the 2nd of September, we are affording ALL our customers the opportunity to make a pre-release purchase of this sought-after vintage, via our online shop exclusively.

Our Wine Club members will of course qualify for their usual 10% discount.
