Scholarship | Apply! Lawyers' Mutual Insurance Company Scholarship Program in Cooperation with the Daily Journal

Founded in 1978 in Burbank, CA, Lawyers' Mutual Insurance Company has remained the premier provider of professional liability coverage for California lawyers. This scholarship aims to support law school students who are first in their families to pursue higher education and a legal career.

First Amendment and Media Law Diversity Moot Court Competition

The competition's mission is to introduce diverse law students to the practice of media law and lawyers active in the communications bar. The competition offers cash awards for superior performance in appellate briefing and oral argument. Finalists are invited to attend the Forum’s annual law conference in Austin as guests of the Forum in February 2025. The application Materials Deadline is Monday, October 14, 2024. NBLSA William Henry Hastie, Jr. Federal Judiciary Week

The Office of Attorney Recruitment and Management will lead the week off by presenting an information session on legal hiring programs at the U.S. Department of Justice, on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 7 PM ET. OARM oversees Justice’s outreach and recruitment efforts for law students and attorneys with the goal of attracting a highly qualified and diverse talent pool. The DOJ is the world’s largest law office, employing more than 10,000 attorneys nationwide with opportunities in almost every practice area. The session will provide an overview of the DOJ and its four legal hiring programs, including volunteer legal internships, summer law intern program, attorney general's honors program, and experienced attorney hiring.
