Happy New Year!

The Arc in the News

Just two days before Christmas, The Arc Montgomery County's CEO Daria Cervantes joined TV station WJLA to discuss what we were up to for the holiday. People supported and employees volunteered their time to wrap and deliver gifts. The experience provided a meaningful volunteering opportunity and the chance to connect with the community.

E&MDS Grant

Exciting news! A generous grant of $20,000 from the William S. Abell Foundation for the Employment & Meaningful Day Program will open up exciting new recreational opportunities for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The activities will push against preconceived ideas of what’s possible. We consulted with adults supported who suggested activities like kayaking, sailing, rock climbing, and even caving!

The Arc's Adopted Road

Keep an eye out on your next drive through Kensington. Employment & Meaningful Day Services adopted just under a mile of Cedar Lane between Beach Drive and Summit Avenue.
